Presidents Report Eve and Bre met with council members and whilst encouraging in our desire for land to build own shed, they cannot offer any land at the moment, however are aware of our requirements and will keep us advised if the situation changes. Supported us appropriate websites for grants and funding. Advised us that Unity Water have available land at times although nothing at present. The Freemasons may have space to lease in their hall on 3rd Avenue. The matter will be raised at their next meeting and we will be advised of the outcome. Possibility for container on site for storage for craft supplies etc. Robyn Brydon has verbally accepted the position of Membership Officer. Tracey Varcoe to nominate to fill the position of Treasurer for a second year. Eve McCorkell to nominate to fill the position of President for a further 12 months only as she is planning to move to Brisbane. Position for Events Administrator remains unfilled at this time. Membership invoices to be sent by end of May for payment end of June. Proposal for increase to membership fees to be raised and passed at the AGM. ($45.00 and $25 from Jan-Jun. Need to invoice again with increase? Should we ask to chair our AGM? Terry Landsberg or New local member.

Events and Activities update Classes well attended Resin trays, sea glass pictures, pebble art, movie day Underground Opera has been tentatively booked for last Saturday in November for Christmas in the Hangar. Rotary to man the bar, free champagne on arrival, dress theme? Payment plan with Trybooking. Suggestions open for discussion. To be announced at AGM to gauge interest. A Smarty Grant may be accessible through council.

Other business Invitation from Wamurran Womens Shed to join for Sheddies networking event was accepted. Eve to correspond with WWS. Maryanne to explore Carnavan Grace Park and Bell Vista for share space opportunity. Declined invite from Avanit Fitness to attend open days. Movie outing – Salt Path at The Strand – Suggested mid afternoon then enjoy drinks and nibbles at Bells on Main to discuss the movie and chat. Maryanne moved to set-up Trybooking for all classes with a cancellation fee of $10 to avoid non-attendance and over-purchase of supplies. Seconded by Chrissy accepted by the meeting. Next meeting 29th May 2025. Meeting closed 11.45.
