Presidents Report Eve reported that the club was running smoothly with many options for Classes and activities. Council has advised that the temporary premises for CWS near Pelican Waters Bowls Club would not be approved. Bells on Main works well and Eve moved to increase our rent contribution to $200 per month. Seconded by Tracey and Chrissy

Matters arising from Presidents Report: Eve suggested we relinquish Friday morning time slot and she is not available at that time.

Treasurer’s report · Current account balance as at 29/08/24 $4144.00 Next rent payt $150.00 then to be increased to $200.00 for Sept. Tracey reported she will attend to gaining a clearer understanding of the accounts.

Membership & Governance report 56 paid up members, some new members since June Eve brought attention to insurance for non-member participants covered for activities and classes held at Bells on Main. The meeting agreed that an appropriate refund clause be included on the flyer and membership form and that contact details be added to sign-in form.(which will be held securely and shredded after 30days) Membership forms to be taken to Bunnings classes. Membership details are up to date and on line.

Welfare report: Chrissy was aware of one person who is recovering well and several other members were mentioned as needing support.

Events and Activities update Avanti Health Centre Over 50’s Expo 19th October 2024. Suzy will attend a meeting with the centre for more information and Activity committee has agreed to man the coffee nook through day. A photo board of classes and activities will be created for display.
Consideration and planning will commence for the following activities: Lawn Bowls – Kawana Bowls Club? Aromatherapy, bracelets – Carol Wright? Wind chimes – Maryanne Newbery Fruit balls etc, no cooking – BYO recipe, ingredients and equipment Mosaics – will source old china from op shops Macrame – small terrarium – Maryanne Sewing – included in Crafternoons Movies and wine afternoon or evening Dye silk scarves – more economical option explored

Canvas abstract painting Christmas, knitting, balls, cards X 3 at Crafternoons Decoupage Jewellery Weaving, straw hat, place mats Afternoon walks – Esplanade – Sheena
